On May 20th, 2020, VIS Vietnam was delighted to visit Hanoi Industrial Textile & Garment University to discuss potential cooperation with the university for VIS Vietnam’s new project. Due to limited time, Mr. Liu Yong – Managing Director of VIS Vietnam – had a brief discussion with Mr. Tan – Head of the Faculty of Fibre and Textile.

During the meeting, Mr. Tan expressed his pleasure at the visit and highly appreciated Mr. Liu Yong’s invitation for cooperation, stating that he would further discuss the potential collaboration. The two parties discussed the current status of the garment and textile industry, job opportunities, and challenges in market competition. Mr. Liu Yong expressed his desire to contribute to the global garment and textile market by improving product quality, strictly supervising production processes, and conducting pre-production testing. Both parties evaluated, analyzed, and proposed constructive solutions for this cooperation opportunity. VIS Vietnam envisions becoming one of the largest garment and textile laboratories in Vietnam, focusing on physical and chemical testing to ensure the quality of raw materials used in mass production within the garment and textile industry.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Liu Yong sincerely thanked Mr. Tan for his time and warm reception. Although no final decision was reached during this meeting, both parties remained open to sharing experiences, discussing challenges, and recommending useful solutions. In the next steps, further meetings will be held to achieve mutual understanding and to move toward long-term cooperation.
